I'm considering buying a set of moser axels w/ c-clip elims. The guy selling them told me it needs new c-clip bearings. How hard/expensive is it to replace and can it be done by myself or brought in?

The bearings will need to be pressed off and back on.They can be a challenge at times.You can do it yourself if you have a press.

Forget it!
W/ their 1/2 assed setup for the eliminator, you have to make a special puller frame to get them apart. Furthermore, the seal is a bastard pt number, and is virtually impossible to find, unless you go back to Moser.
The brg carrier is one piece and the brg goes in from the wheel side. You have to take the carrier off, remove the brg, which has an 0'ring seal around it, then the seal comes out, then when you press them back together, the carrier Fuc%$ up the o'ring.
When I had this problem on a NEW set, they told me I had to send them back, and they would do the repairs..[They leaked and ruined my NEW brakes!!] Their response?? Tuff $hit... you put them on wrong...
I guess you can tell, I have no use for their crap....
