What are some times and quick setup run downs of the e85 powered v6 Buicks out there?

I know of 2 that are in the 9's so far.

Tom Robison
Gabby Rojas

Any others? I hope to be there in next couple weeks.

Nice! That makes 3 in the 9's and faster. Care to share some of the setup?

TT Stage 2 running the stock ecm:biggrin:. Tuned by one of the best TurboBob:wink: There is a 8 second pass in the car if we ever get it to hook up and 60'.

I think if a thread like this is started we need to list time and combo. Here is mine.

Tsm Legal, 234 CI . DLS Cam, Ported M&A heads, 71 hpq turbo, 160 injecters, & Gen7
9.67@ 137.71 w/ 1.38 60ft

Hot air (non intercooled) best to date is 10.48 @ 127.24 mph on a stock block, rods and crank. We have a lot of one of a kind mods designed by my husband on the motor.

We got a couple of the later series of V6s, one doing 10.0@138 and the other doing 9.6@148. Its a top fuel. Will have a new twin turbo car out soon too.

turbo6x2... what are your intake temps with out the cooler? what turbo/boost/timing?

cheers

Dan.

I ended up with a best of 10.20@137.75 at 3650lbs and a 67mm turbo.
Took the engine apart to freshen it up for the bowling green race. No signs of a lifted head, valves, heads, pistons all look great. The rings not so much. Are people using any type of fuel additive? Not sure why the rings wore like they did. They were plasma moly rings I gapped myself. They do have a lot of passes on them from when the engine was in my old car. Also the local event where I hot lap the car probably doesn't help either.

Intake temperature is about 235 without, not much cooler with
I run a lot of boost with a modded turbo we set up for my car with 25 degrees of timing.

E85 fast times

I been 9.2,150mph, 5.92 1/8 1.34 60ft Stock 109block with stock rods and crank wit champion gn1 in my truck 3180# twin 67mm @26lbs of boost. Have turned up on street witch would hav went faster.

nice! I am jealous of that weight!

I don't know if it counts but I've been 8.3@167mph 1.24 60 ft (1/4 mile) and 5.1@137 mph 1.17 60 ft (1/8 mile). It's a SII tube chassis racecar, only thing is that it doesn't run quite on E85 but E100 ethanol with some oil added for lubrication.

been 7.30 at 203 on e85 at 3600lb and runs on the street . New ta engine kenny is building for me will be a E85 monster too
