This turbo behind a 4.1 Staged motor is a absolute blast on the street. Spools quickly, and makes a ton of power and torque. This is not like a Precision 7675, I upgraded from that turbo to this one (GT42 style) and the differences are noticeable. This turbo has a 1.28A/R twin scroll exh housing.
Buy with confidence, this turbo is amazing and supports good hp with zero issues. Retails for 3,750, I am selling this for $2000 shipped to your front door.

Hmmmmmmm...

Tell me mike, what's the fastest you went with this turbo.

What converter were you running in the 7576 combo and did you change the stall when you went to this 8285?

I never tracked it with this turbo. But i can say the rpm difference in spooling was minimal, but the hp increase was substantial. Mid to low 8's would be easily achieved. Still have the same converter (19 blade I believe) I got from Dusty years back.

Okay cool. I am also running a 19 blade from Dusty. Spragless.

Dimensionally, is this the exact same frame as the 7576? Does the downpipe fit exactly the same?

If you are talking about the GT42 series turbos like this, then yes that is correct. Thats why i have stayed to this series of Precision turbos. My 76 turbo was just a simple swap, no downpipe modifications were needed. In actual fact you can leave your existing exhaust housing on your header and slide the other GT42 series turbo into it.
