I just recently purchased my first 86 GN. I'm new to the board. I'm eager to learn as much as I can about these iconic vehicles.

Southern Cal..I already have rebuilt the tran, replaced the front and rear seals..Replace do valve cover gaskets and manifold gasket..She still leaks..Damn gremlins..Replaced upper and lower radiator hoses and new water pump..Looking to replace the stock MAF with and LT1 with a translator..Gonna get a scanmaster with a PL..Any other suggestions..I figure I'm gonna be in this for the long haul

Thanks guys. It's been an adventure owning these TBs. Both fun and a headache. I actually live in the High Desert of So-cal. Temperatures have been in the 100s for most of the year. That new aluminum radiator dual spal fan with a 160 tstat makes a huge difference. I also put in a new aeromotive fuel pump with hotwire kit. Made such a huge difference.

This is my next project along with vacuum brake setup and a new fuel sending unit. I hope to have the TR6 in soon. I've heard nothing but awesome reviews about this module. I swear I love my GN with a passion, but when will the upgrades and mods stop. Anyways any comments are appreciated. Thanks again.

I ditched the powermaster and upgraded to vacuum brakes. I also replaced the proprotional valve and upgraded to stainless braided brake lines. The GN stops on a dime. Thank you Kirbans Performance who supplied everything. My next project is the TR6.

Just finished installing the TR6..The install went pretty smooth for the exception of setting the cam sensor..Idle is smoother and when u step on it, it wakes right up

skip, so was it the cam sensor causing your no start?
