Does the extra thickness of the LS fans interfere with the intercooler piping specifically front mount?

My car is a hot air, so it has a mechanical fan not an electric, is there something special i need to buy in order to use electric fans? Im running an 87 ecm.

If I can find a set of ls1 fans local I'd be willing to give them a real test. My 455 regal just fired up sunday. On low speed it had trouble staying under 200 during break in. Although it was stupid humid here that day. I run HD fans in both cars. Both cars have new radiators and a/c. The turbo car has yet to hit 200 even in stop and go traffic with ac on. My front mount is 4 inches thick. I suggest the mid 80s B body radiator over the f body, especially for hot air cars. Trans lines bolt right up.
