HELP...
I just had my transmission rebuilt by a local mechanic...when I got my car back, the transmission was shift waaay to high 1st shift was at approx 25 mph and the 2nd at approx 45 and so on. I went back and the mechanic stated that he would change the valve body and the governor. I got my car back and the transmission now shifts tooo fast. 1st at approx 8 mph and second approx 25 and 4th at approx 35. I went back and he states that he needs a different governor and a different throtle cable. The car feels heavy and can't get out of his own way.
Q#1. does the GN have a different valve body than a stock Regal?
Q#2. does the length of the throttle cable makes much diference?

Yes to both questions. Get your old parts put back in. The code for the TR trans is BRF. It has a special valve body and specific governor. Call Bruce Toell (moderator on this board) he can guide you better, but it sounds like your trans guy wanted your BRF parts.
