does anyone know if gm makes front rotors for out cars? i'd like to stick with a h/d slotted rotor that will fit right on. my brakes when its hot out smell like they are catching fire after a hard stop. anyone have part numbers and price? not interested in baer brakes..to much$$$$$$

I didn't realise untill the other day that rotors are not near as expensive as they used to be. Most local parts stores carry them. You know GM is going to be big time proud of um.

You can get drilled and/or slotted rotors for about $100 each from several sources. I used NAPA's with their ceramic pads and have been very pleased. Raybestos makes Brute Stops and I think Power Slot (sp?) has some too. Decent plain rotors are about $50. I wouldn't mess with the $25 options.
