EGR Tower

[TURBOV8R]

I milled off the EGR tower in my intake,and now staring at a hole in the bottom of the manifold.Is it ok to leave it open like that or is there a something other than a shop rag :biggrin: that can be used to fill in the cavity.Already have the block off plate where the EGR used to reside.Any ideas would be great

Did the same and wondered about WTH is going on with the hole in the floor

My intake manifold also has the egr tower machined off and the hole left in the "floor" of the manifold has been filled with what seems to be some aluminium welding work...

I have not noticed any trouble...I may mess with it some day...hope it doesn't hurt WOT performance

Since it's off the car call up some local shops and see who will fill it in for you.
