converson calulation for 1/8 to 1/4 mile

I ran last Saturday in Michigan where I live.The 1/4 mile track was limited to 1/8 mile due to the track being too cold, so all I could get was 1/8 mile times.Is there a way to tell what you could of run in the 1/4 off an 1/8 mile time?

ET 1/8 divided by .64 equals approximate ET 1/4.

a simple way is to add 4 seconds......someone my ring in with a more technical way to calculate.....
