Can't brake boost!?

Hey everyone,

I have a 3400 9/11 converter, s-10 upgrade, vac. brakes and some suspension work done (metco lca, etc).

For some reason, I can't build even 1# of boost. As soon as it gets to 1, the tires start screeching and when I let off the gas my car dies!? (yes this is on street tires)

Anyone know what the problem can be?

Did you ever get an answer on your question? I just converted to vacuum brakes and I can barely hold 3# at the track.

How is your rear brake adjustment?

If they are adjusted too loose, that could make a considerable difference in how well they hold. Assuming your self adjusters are present and functioning, back up and slam on the brakes in reverse a few times and see if the pedal comes up. If so, that should help. Cars with vac. brakes might be helped with a vacuum cannister as well, Summit and Jegs have them, and they are mostly for cars with big cams and low vacuum, but should help on TRs and GNs too.
