I have a '84 H/O with an "open" 3:73 gear 8.5" rear-end. I am able to buy a '90 Caprice squad car cheap with an 8.5" posi. Will this posi carrier swap into my rear? Is there anything else "special" to keep off the car? Thanks
No the Caprice case wont work. Your 84 has 28 spline axles and side gears. And the 90 Caprice has 30 splines. They went to 30 splines in the 88 model year so find a carrier from an 87 and older 8.50. Thanks Eric Fisher
