Hey guys,

A friend of mine did some welding for me and he used a mig welder that was powered by 2 car batteries. He's a professional welder and said it can do more than the full size one he had in his truck. Imagine welding something in the middle of nowhere! It's called the "Ready Welder 2" and he's the rep. It cost 500.00 and he can give a demo to silence any skeptics on its ability. He said the military bought a lot of them. It does up to 3/4" steel, S.S. and aluminum. Just sharing somemore info.

Actually, no big surprise...

Welding is about amperage! In other words, CURRENT rules, not voltage. It may be "only" 24 volts, but I bet its over 100 amps flowing through that sucker.

BTW, if you want to make your own stick welder out of old microwave ovens...

It ain't pretty, but it works. (I guess)

Aloha,
