So I was able to get a good look at my trans. Appears to be a 200r4 and it was a GM replacement trans. The vin number is not legible on the driver's side rear by the pan. Any suggestions how to get the stamps to show up better? Cleaned it with wd40 and it is stamped but it's too faint to read... Any suggestions appreciated
And the trans tag is not on the passenger rear. It is on the driver's side center.
It a green tag that says hydromatic and is stamped OKT F7 on the first line then has 6185 followed by 326470 on the second line. any help decoding would be appreciated.
Wanted to see if this was a correct GM replacement trans or if this is not an authentic GN trans. Thanks
