Here we have a 1963 Impala Wagon. I has been totally restored. Here is a list of what's been done.
It started out as a 25,000 mile wagon that had sat for more than 10 years. I purchased the car in 2003 and started the restoration. It was then prepared for paint which is basecoat/clearcoat urethane in 2005 jaguar Midnight Mica. Looks black in the shade or at night but actually has a hint of gray/blue metallic tint to it. Everyone says it's black, you have to really look close to see the true color.
The interior was completely redone with new headliner, carpet, dash, seats recovered, door panels, side panels, wind lace and all new weatherstrip. I then added the alpine CD played under the dash leaving the factory am radio intact.
I have replaced bushings, steering, springs, it has air shocks on the rear. All new rear brakes, I retained the rear drum brakes. The front has been upgraded to disc brakes and are all new.
The engine in a 396 Big Block Chevy 30 over . It has new pistons, rods, 10-10 crank, heads have been gone through, street cam, water pump, starter, Chrome Alt, Edelbrock carb, Electronic ignition, Chrome brake booster with corvette chrome master cyl. Headman ceramicoat headers with custom pipe, flowmaster mufflers with Mac tips exiting forward the rear wheels. 100 miles on car since it was redone.
The Cragar SS rims give it the nostalgia look with new rubber wrapping them. Most of the chrome is original with the exception of a few emblems and trim pieces. The windows were professionally tinted. the car has a new rebuilt 400 turbo trans, new after-market aluminum carrier bearing and u-joints in the driveshaft. The rear window is power and works as it should. Everything works on this car as it's a very nice cruiser.
This car took first place at the only car show it attended last year. Over 125 entries. people can't get enough of it. You have to see the video to appreciate the car. No time to enjoy it so here it is. May trade for low mileage GN or TTA asking $19500.00
