    Radiator Search

Only one place in our area that does that. Guy looked at the old radiator & said it had set too long with old anti-freeze in it. Also said that delivery on cores would take a month+ and it would cost $500. Plus, I already have the Champion. Just trying to figure out why it doesn't fit...

    Radiator Search

GM 3090094 radiator is shot. I have a Champion replacement, but it's too tall - even without the bottom rubber cushions. If you have a Champion replacement, did it fit and if not, what alterations did you have to make? Did the ColdCase radiator fit after cutting the chunk out of the top of the...

    WG Actuator Help

It worked! Many thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I think the Hulk tightened those bolts in there and used Loctite. Dang, they were tight!

    WG Actuator Help

Confused: There are 6 bolt holes in the compressor housing. 4 of them are used to attach 2 curved gold (brass?) pieces. The other 2 hold the wastegate actuator. I think you suggested removing them so the compressor housing will rotate & I can get rear bolt into the actuator housing. I don't see...

    WG Actuator Help

I'm into easy. Admitting my ignorance; are the small bolts on the compressor cover the same bolts & in the similar location as the 2 small bolts holding the actuator? No worries about the other stuff since it's all been removed already.

    WG Actuator Help

Installing wg actuator. Stock replacement with threaded rod. Held on with 2 short bolts. I can't get the back one in. No room. 1. There's a conduit covered line coming up to the bottom of the turbo. If I disconnect it and move it a bit I think I can get to the bolt. Can I do that? If so I'll...

    Radiator cushions

Where do the lower radiator cushions (right term?) go? They each have a little point on them which I assume goes in a hole, but not sure which ones. After-market radiator. Thanks

626gn I owe you a beer. The 12013 even has the purple wire. Many thanks.

    02 Sensor Search

Thanks! Problem is that all the replacement sensors I've seen have that white plastic extension (see in pic above) at the end over the wire. That makes them just long enough that they don't clear the turbo oil line.

    02 Sensor Search

Is there an 02 sensor replacement for a stock 87 Ltd. that doesn't have the white plastic extension (wire protector?) I bought a Bosch 12014, but it's too long. AC that was on the car is the top one in the pic. Also, the end looks bigger on the stock piece. Please give part number as well as...

Trans cooler lines to radiator question

What do you do if you tighten the brass fittings in the grill side of the radiator down but they don't line up with the hard lines that wrap around the radiator from the engine side? Put on some sealer, back them off until they line up & then keep your fingers crossed? I'd hate to put...

    Heater valve hose positions?

Thanks TurboTGuy. I appreciate it. Hopefully the attached will clarify what I'm trying to explain. I'm only asking about the 2 hoses which attach to the heater control valve. They are shown in the attached. Are they positioned correctly in the pic? Thanks again

    Heater valve hose positions?

Thanks blackazz. Got that. Question is regarding only the smaller hoses going directly to the valve. They're L-shaped, so the lengths of each hose aren't equal after making the L-shaped bend. Do the longer or shorter sections of the hose clamp to the valve after the bends - and is it the same...

    Heater valve hose positions?

I screwed up and didn't take a picture before I took things apart. Heater control valve has two L-shaped hoses. From the top of the valve, do I attach the long or short part of the L-shaped hose to the valve? Same question about the bottom hose. Do I attach the short or the long section of the...

Not sure if I can get actually get much of it on the socket, but I'll give it a try. Is the socket up close to the mirror glass or farther back in the mirror pod? Thanks.
