Same boost setting as before... 10 psi in first, saw closer to 15 psi in second. Wimpy launch, no timing (22 degrees)... A/F was 10.5:1. Only difference is I revved the motor a little higher... I shifted at 7450 rpm.... still shortshifting as Petty says to shift at 8200-8500. 60'...

Exactly. I saw the wreck, then went and helped them load the car up on the trailer. It made me realize that it could happen at any time. If it's your time to go, it's your time to go. Here's the vid of Hargett's wreck: http://www.yerot.com/~aweil/movies/hargettnomoredl.mpeg

It's got the same transmission in it that's in Lynch's car (Neal racing top of the line glide) with a bolt together Neal Chance converter (same as in Lynch's single turbo setup per Marty Chance). I'm trying to do the tuning myself... Bill Duke would greatly shorten the learning curve here...

    Chow went 7.97 @ 175 @ Vegas

What were the incrementals on that pass? (330, 1/8th mile, 1000 ft, etc)

It's a 25.5 chassis, ladder bar setup with a 31 x 10.5W tire. Koni adjustables on the front and strange double adjustable shocks in the back... coilovers at all 4 corners. 75" wheeliebars. Tune is VERY conservative... 22 degrees timing, 50 degree ACTs, low 11's/high 10's A/F. 10 psi...

The car went 5.59 @ 129.9 last night shortshifting on 10 psi with a wimpy launch and no timing in the car... still think I can't run better than a 5.1?

I've been racing for 4 years.... I tend to optimize things fairly well. My old YS-trim car went 9.0's when the fastest guys were running 8.9's with it. It will take time, no doubt, but I've done my research on this setup.

5.50's with the old T04 based 88mm wasn't too shabby... So you want to put some money on my car running faster than Tom's? I also think he's got more money than you're aware of in that car. He's had his car out for what, a couple years? Give me two years to tune on this combo and it'll...

No, I've got no clue who Tim Lynch is. Who do you think built my motor? (hint, check out the valvecovers) I know more about this than you think. I built the car to run in KOTH and TTT5 Outlaw Limited Street.

I actually didn't get any passes until the day of the shootout, and I did them at the KOTH race at denton. All I got there was a few 60' shutdown passes. Why would I waste $300 in diesel to drive up to Noble to do 60' hits? ****, why would you take a car capable of 190+ in the 1/4 mile to a...

The soundtrack to many a freshly whipped buick ass

I didn't quite have it ready. I made some 1/8th mile shakedown passes sunday at a local track... ran 5.76 @ 121 popping and banging above 6k rpm with it turned down as far as it would go. Seems that the fords didn't need my help this year ;)

The guy who built my motor ran 6.97.... Another guy there with a motor that they built went 7.0... another guy with a motor they built went 7.1... But I guess all these 7.90 buick passes are going to be too much for me and I should just stay home.

The soundtrack to many a freshly whipped buick ass

You're not very good at math are you... a turbo car will tend to have a multiplier of 1.53 or so from the 1/8th mile to the quarter mile (not always true, but pretty close). That would put the fastest car you posted up, a 7.90 at close to a 5.16 1/8th mile. I'm talking about running in the...

The soundtrack to many a freshly whipped buick ass

I have a single 5" downpipe. The chassis is a 25.5 chassis, chromemoly except for the bars in the floor. You can run whatever tire you want at the ford/buick event.

The soundtrack to many a freshly whipped buick ass

I'm trying to be a little optimistic here. I think I've got all the stuff to run those times.... now the trick will be figuring out the tuneup and suspension! I'd like to think that I can give Wolfe a good run here in TTT5. We'll see whether it happens or not.

The soundtrack to many a freshly whipped buick ass

I think I have a shot at the 4.8's on a TT5 with wheelie bars (i.e. TTT5 rules). No way I'm going anywhere close to Robbins on a W. Hell, if I can go a round or two here and there I'll be happy. I don't have the bucks to compete with those guys. FWIW, here's a vid from last weekend...

This ok for 10 psi, no timing and only 6500 rpm (yeah I know it says 7500, it's wrong, verified by my datalogger)?
