    I am looking at upgrading to a ta-49 turbo. Many have ported waste gate holes and I am wondering what size flapper I can go up to in a ported stock exhaust elbow? Also are there differences between the ta-49's?

    Cool, it ll give some good information. I am assuming if he were to tie the waste gate open it should and would run out clean right to shift point? Or is wot only set for boost so it ll be rich with retarded timing?

    They corrode and loose the ability to carry full load amps but still carry some, in some cases they won't even carry enough to burn out if shorted. If they got hot it could be worse. Start cheap and easy

    Have an 86 GN 40k original, dut intercooler neck, 42lb injectors, tt chip, 255 lph pump, hotwire, kirban 100# valve springs. Thinking hard about switching to e85. Turbo needs rebuild and fuel pump probably should be replaced, chip was for 93 oct which I can't get near by anymore. 91 and octane...
