Anyone used SuperTech 80W90 gear oil?

It is one of the few non-synthetics available. Half the price of Valvoline. I can't imagine it being horrible.

OEM lugnut needed - used is fine

As long as it is stamped Metric is the idea. Nothing mangled and good threads are the only must-haves. Might buy 2 if you have several.

    Stock-ish spiral air intake duct

What do you think about this Chuck? I know you are an Aircraft Spruce fan. This looks substantial enough to use for a turbo inlet, yes? Heat tolerance is good, it''s 3" also. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pnpages/05-29812-2.php?msclkid=a17ce2088fe1180c3d8286ce2f1b7b50

    Rear wheel stud length

How much is sticking out beyond the drum? I put 3" studs in years ago and I want to go back to stock length. I am just going to cut these off and chamfer the ends, not pulling axles again.

    Humidity on steroids today

I don't like cars at this moment. Garage must be what hot yoga feels like.

Length of lugnut tool with jack

I have the stock jack and know how it is mounted. I think I grabbed a stock looking lug wrench at some point but I think it is too long. I found a photo on the net about how the handle mounts to the jack and it looks like it tucks into the jack foot somehow. Can someone post a photo of your...

Need advice, best "Paypal" for modern living?

Everything seems to get hacked or abused. I divested myself of Paypal years ago. I mostly only sell on ebay and their site works fine for getting paid, only had one issue as a buyer that was resolved with textbook accuracy. If I were to sell outside there, I need a new payment processing...

What do the inside of your quarter panels look like?

Both my quarters were painted when I got the car. Never been a problem. I decided to clean things up in there. Someone sprayed rubberized undercoating in mine and I have never liked it. I warmed it with a hair dryer and scraped it right off. Then I washed it with kerosene and then thinner...

ACDelco vs Wix - now I am a believer

I bought the AC Delco, used PF52 forever. Decided to compare the recommended Wix. Now I see why. The pics will show you the difference. Size is a good start.

P/N needed for stock replacement rear springs please

I have searched and searched. No luck. Anyone know? I can look at Rock Auto but it may not be as accurate as we are led to believe.

    Lucas Safeguard Ethanol Conditioner? Anyone?

I dropped my tank today concerned about the fuel gauge. It was fine, just making sure as I use E85 which is a teeny bit corrosive but not much. When I pulled the pump and hanger, the rivet on the fuel gauge mount had a little corrosion, slight, almost nothing. I was thinking maybe something...

Wow, best paint stripper for almost no $

Get an old pot, boil a gallon of water, dump in 1/4 cup of baking soda, drop your painted part in. In less than 15 minutes, it will be stripped. Maybe not powdercoat but enamel or lacquer, it will float right off. I had no idea, this is too easy.

    Experience with GBodyParts Seat Covers?

They look good in pics, fabric looks beefy. Anyone using them? I need a driver seat cover, not so much passenger but @ 35 years old, it is going to dry rot eventually.

    PL/TurboTweak BLM cells question

When I was on the data page, I had the car idling. Most of the 16 cells were 128 except for a few on the 3rd row. The top left cell (Cell 0) was highlighted yellow and it was locked on 137. My WB was showing idle AFR around 13.5. I got my instructions out and went into programming mode and...

Planning to give bringatrailer.com a try

It is time to sell my GN. 20 years and 3 months I have had it. In the last 5 years, it has just sat except to go for emissions and an occasional romp. I am just not enjoying it anymore though I will be sad to see it gone. It's been a big part of my life and it has been fun overall. The...

    Hypertherm Powermax900 plasma cutter

10-ish year old HyperTherm PowerMax900 plasma cutter well maintained, clean, and works great. 55amp output. You need a good CFM compressor to run this & 240 AC single-phase power (home dryer or stove type connection). I rebuilt the handle to new and installed a new 6' power cord. Has 26'...

    Looking for oil temperature source

Other than the pan, where could I place an oil temperature sensor? Temperature, not pressure. I tried looking for a dipstick style but only found one for Harleys and VW air cooled.

    All smell E85 under car

I have new multi-fuel hoses and everything is well clamped and tight. No leaks anywhere. I can always get a whiff of E85 when I bend down at the rear of the car. I never smell it at head height, only when I am down by the tank. No smell in the engine compartment anywhere. I use the stock...

Does turbo cause vacuum in MAF pipe?

Curious because I am considering going to a flexible intake pipe and don't want it to collapse.
