I have everything to build a Stage II engine except the block. All good stuff. Fresh heads , rods and polished crank magged ,new pistons , etc. I was building a NA engine but ran out of money. Will sell complete package VERY reasonable.
Surprise ! I forgot that I sprayed this block with LPS 3 before I put it in the car (Indy Lights). It cleaned up real well. It is the cross bolt main block, front and rear. Brand new and cherry.
Brand new virgin never used Stage II block for sale Asking $3000 or offers. It's got to be one of the last ones left on the planet ! On center block, I kept it oiled up but it's starting to get some light suface rust on it from setting around. E-mail for pics or info. Can be delivered to Salem...

The standard Stage block fits my March Indy Lights chassis real nice, so I would say YES ! The motor mounts lined right up. Oh yea, I was told those motors were 50 K new !!
Ohio George told me the Indy Lights engines were built at 12.5 :1 .My engine should be slightly lower than that. Did you ever figure what your compression is under boost ? ?

I bought a used and beat up Stage II engine at the Buick meet this weekend and got a real surprise when i got it home and tore it apart. The block had been repaired but the crank was decent, the pistons looked like new, and the cylinders looked o-k.But when I took a closer look at the pistons, I...
I'm a Corvette guy too, and I went downstairs and measured the backspacing on a 9.5 in wheel. Metrics aside I measured 7.5 in of backspace. I think you would need maybe a 3.5 in spacer ?? Yes, they do have a 4.75 bolt circle. Think about it !!
Your engine looks totally awsome !!! I dummied mine together and it's going to look good too! (Kinsler injection) But I neeed to put some guts in it. Could you give me the phone no of the guy who built your engine?? I am looking for a set of flat top pistons and he might have a set laying...
Hey Josh, it's always good to hear a success story. Man, I'm proud of you !!! What you went through was extreemly difficult. I pray that you stay clean and sober forever. Congatulations !!

Hi Swede,
I am in the process of building an Indy Lights car. $2300 is a good price , But the engine could be well used and tired. These cars ran a rev limiter and were built with all the good stuff. Not a lot of compression which might be good for you. It should have Kinsler fuel injection...
Hey Rich !!! Are you thinking what I am thinking ???
How much weight would that take off an Indy Car?? From 1300lbs to what ? But would the torsional stiffness be there ?
Thats the part that bothers me. In an Indy Car the block becomes part of the chassis. It ties the whole car together...
Drilling up through to the lifters. Is that something I can do? When I said it was a brand new block, I meant it. There is no machining done to it other than what the factory did. the cyl. bores are rough and the lifter bores are rough(and and undersized). Can the lifter bores just be honed?
