I finally returned. I got the 78 Turbo Regal back up and running and it must turn into my daily transportation till the snow flies. (Unfortunately to the 200000 Mile mark on the 04 Regal making the transmission want to explode.) I went back the Before Black Site to collect the Vacuum line...

    New Old Car

I have no vacuum secondaries. Yes, the oil is coming from the back of the turbo and drain tube. I evaluated it while I was hooking up the boost guage. I fixed the turbo lights and got the yellow to light. but the gauge was bouncing like crazy just above 2lbs. I ordered the turbo install gasket...

Erl Leak I have a bigger problem now. Oil is leaking out of the back of the turbo, down the back of the motor. I'm losing enough to have to put a quart in every two days of driving. I can't see real good back there, is there an easy fix?

    New Old Car

After reading the Before Black page about exhaust manifolds, I'm slightly confused. The title says 78, I'll check the vin and build code, but The manifolds I got from a fellow member were 79-80s. They bolted on the car just fine. Were that 78 heads that different or am I going to have to tear...

Local Buick Show? Point me In a direction. I didn't mind the tard bucket who said that, seeing how he was wiping down a 71 challanger that had 40000 on it. All but my Cutlass are driven, driven hard, rusty, and beat up. Its all about the drivetrain. My pickup has a $45 Paint Job...

    New Old Car

Good news! I took my car to a local annual car show (I've Been there every year for the last five) and got told I had the worst looking car in the show! I did end up putting a caliper on the front. I created a custom exhaust from the down pipe to the axle, 2 3/4" with a welded thrush...

    New Old Car

Good and Bad news.... Got the manifolds from a fellow on here- very grateful... installing them during the week, I'm going to redo the exhaust on the car also. Went to get a new rotor, got one for a 79, that wouldn't fit the bearings. I learned that 78 had a special size, that matched the...

    New Old Car

That is awesome, I'll take anything I can get to reassemble this thing. I got it out on the road this weekend! I was told when I bought the car that it had a blown head gasket, I experienced nothing that lead me to believe this is true, unless anyone can tell me it's a common...

And how do I go about getting one? If I could get one, I'd make some out of steel, and the same for the front fillers.

    New Old Car

Didn't get no pictures yet, You send them by email? There is no cat on the car, though it looks like a chunk of fence post was welded in it's place, crude I might add. I think I'll run 2 1/2" from front to back, with no muffler. (The pipe is free) On a different note, The rear frame has...

Exactly, and its held in place to the frame with some chicken wire. The driveshaft rubs and bumps it while driving. Good thing I have access to a tubing bender, welders and pipe.

    New Old Car

both exhaust manifolds I haven't taken anything apart yet, not sure what else it needs. I know that it is missing the airfilter box, and it will need an a/c box, driver door panel, both rear interior panels Figured I'd start with making the motor run correctly first
