Return Fuel Line - Replacing Small Section Around Downpipe

No problem. Can you explain a little further about the charcoal canister and the line routing. Thanks.

Return Fuel Line - Replacing Small Section Around Downpipe

You are correct. Your picture indicates exactly the area of concern. Although with my car the damage has already been done. I'm lucky it didn't catch fire. I just need to figure out a way to replace that section or re-route the line.

Return Fuel Line - Replacing Small Section Around Downpipe

It is an '87 GN. The posts I've read seem to be somewhat conflicting where the return line is located. As you've pointed out there could be differing locations. I'm sure it is gasoline that is coming out of a fuel line and spraying on the downpipe. Thanks for the reply.

Return Fuel Line - Replacing Small Section Around Downpipe

Based on some reading I've done on the forum the return fuel line drops down right next to the downpipe. My car has an after-market downpipe that over time has rubbed a hole in the return line. For those of you that have experienced this problem, would it be okay to splice into the line using a...

    Where's the exhaust leak?

Mine was simple as a couple of loose header/manifold bolts on the passenger side. The back one is a little difficult to reach.

Tranny Not Shifting Unless Getting Off Accelerator

Problem is solved, although the shift points may need adjusting. Seems to be a little high on the RPM for shifting and at 65 mph it still didn't go into overdrive. TV cable adjustment ????

Tranny Not Shifting Unless Getting Off Accelerator

You guys were absolutely correct about the spring. It had kicked out of its position. Two questions: 1) Would you reuse the pan gasket if it is still in good shape 2) How many quarts of fluid are used for a pan like this one. Thank you!

Tranny Not Shifting Unless Getting Off Accelerator

I dropped the pan yesterday but didn't have time to pull the governor yet. I did find something in the bottom of the pan (see picture). Can anyone tell me what this is and if it might cause the problem I'm experiencing? A couple of other questions: How many quarts of trans. fluid for this...

Tranny Not Shifting Unless Getting Off Accelerator

Sounds encouraging indeed, thank you. Would anyone happen to have a picture of this spring installed, and would you just replace this spring if found, or replace it with a new one?

Tranny Not Shifting Unless Getting Off Accelerator

I have owned an '87 GN for about 3 years now and not had any problems with the B. Hofer built transmission. Went to the track a couple of weeks ago for test n' tune. Only two passes were made. Hit the street to come home and the tranny will not upshift unless getting off the accelerator, and...

Sounds like you've got a nice build with your car. Shadyside is not too far from my house. What time does the T&T begin?

    Conversion from SubWoofer to 6 X 9s

After discussing with a fella that I work with, I didn't realize that there was that much control over the bass from the head unit. I made a few adjustments and the sound has improved greatly. No more disturbing the peace at the stoplights :). Thanks for the replies.
