    Carb tuning help Edelbrock

I haven't been able to check vacuum while accelerating- sick toddler and a pre schooler makes it hard to get any garage time. It is a 4 hole spacer, and the holes closely match the carb and the plate I made for the intake (One reason it was cheap, there wasn't a carb plate on it.) The...

    Carb tuning help Edelbrock

I like to drive on the highway. I don't race, it's not for 1/4 mile. Just want to cruise around town, get on the highway and drive cross country. Think about mileage, what makes an engine run happily. If I was racing I'd "just" put in a V8. I've read Doug Roe's book on quadrajets, and what...

    Carb tuning help Edelbrock

I've been doing a ultra low budget build for my Buick. I've hunted and collected parts for years, finally got it all together and running, and I need some advice on getting the carb closer to working well. Right now it bogs off idle. The build? 231 bored 1st over, stock compression dished...

    Remote control Grand National

I almost painted the whole tail light red! I took everything apart and painted it all separately, the body needs another coat of black and some clear. Don't know if I'll make decals or not. To keep the lights working, I wired them into the receiver, where the battery input goes when you run...

    Remote control Grand National

I have some bad video of running it around too, but it's a little hard to run it, film it and not hit anything. I knocked the rear clip off. :frown:

    Remote control Grand National

I did one too, but I stretched the rear wheel mount a little. Before paint: It's 1/10 th scale, but a little long for most 180mm chassis. I'm trying to get my paint perfect. Making a lexan body would be little hard, but not impossible, there are a lot of undercuts and detail.

    Remote Control GN

It's a radio shack xmods car with a monogram grand national body on it. If you can find an x-mods car that still works, that would be a good place to start. The wheelbase is a bit short, but it can be stretched out.

    *********fast & furious IV**********

gotta wonder if they are really going with a GNX. Most of the rumor sites I've seen say it'll also have a "Chevrolet Opala" is that an impala crossed with an oompa loompa? I bet it'll have 5 turbos... OK I admit I just want to see it, and buy all the buick related merchandice.

    hunting for gauges

Wow- I was searching for the info, and I already asked! I helped a freind part out a camaro, it had the tach and 140MPH speedometer. Now I have a tach and 140 mph speedometer! Anyone know how to hook any of this up? Is it really any harder than aftermarket electronic gauges?

    Ta-da!

Exactly. :D I used a 4wd tamiya tl01 because that's what I had. The rear suspension arms are flipped over to get a longer wheelbase, and I had to make new shock mounts. The tl01 is the right width. Any other touring car chassis would be better to lengthen, but I know this one is pretty...

    Hi-riserz Regal review.

finally started it I'm using a tamiya tl01 chassis, because I already have it, it runs well and is pretty durable and simple... and I'm tired of the mustang body. I got the wheelbase to match well by flipping the rear suspension arms over. All the driveshafts still work, so it's still...

    Hi-riserz Regal review.

I had to get it- it was teasing me at the local wal-mart. A radio controlled Buick grand national, with the wheels that are large enough to require lifting the car. Not my personal style, but that's not why I got it. Pros: Very nice well detailed body, 1:10 scale uses standard 9.6 V...

    X-MODS...how hard to build one?

Every time I see that one, I laugh. If you can put decent paint on a 1/24 scale kit, you can make an x-mod out of it. The first generation ones are easy to convert- to lengthen the chassis, you just need to make a spacer for the rear end. If you want it to be 4wd, you make a longer shaft. I...
