    WTB: NOS thottle/accelerator cable

If not try Glen at Hiway Stars. He has a lot of NOS stuff & the GM licence to remake many parts.

Time to go stage II with A/C!

Norbs sad news to hear. We're getting to the age in life where the elders are passing on & we can only keep carrying on with the memories. Be happy that you had the chance to say goodbye to her in person & be with her when it happened. I'm sure it was comforting to her as well as for you. RIP Momma

    Routing wideband o2 wire

If you have the Pin removal tool then your choices are endless & if not I would order one from Caspers. If you do a lot of wiring work (to clean stuff up for added guages etc.) then the full kit with connectors for every pin size & both Pin tools is a deal at about $100.

    Copy right's

Not sure but the RJC fits good & has a few Puck options. (they did the last time I looked which was a few years back)

    Removing and replacing oil pump

gnttype.org has all the Torque settings for the engine & that nut doesn't need to be overly tight.

    Removing and replacing oil pump

It's been a few years but 29 sounds right? You might find some useful info on these 2 sites. http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/pictureguides/timingcovers/87cover.html http://ihadav8.com/forum/VortexBuicks/index.html

Wireing for Caspers audible knock detector?

Also check the ground wire. I have an added fuse box on back of the glove compartment & once in a while when I start the car or hit a big bump it will beep so I open & close the glove box to get it to reset & I'm pretty sure it's just the ground wire. I don't mind because this way I know it's...

    Boost Controller Thread??

Hey Mike, I was just going to head over to FT Forums to load the latest version on my new home laptop! I remember those old threads now that you mention it. Thanks & maybe I'll see you at an event this summer?

    Boost Controller Thread??

Thanks Earl! MAP is fine on PL. I've not given the car much attention over the last 3-4 years but heading to BPG in 2 weeks got me interested again. I had a BSTC for a good 10+ years but for the last 4 years would not work properly & drove me NUTS! Now hoping this ball-spring setup I'm adding...

    Boost Controller Thread??

I found something generic from 2002 as well while looking thru some files I saved from the old computer but they aren't GN specific. I've been at this since 88 so 2002 seems like a couple years ago to me! ;) I think maybe Mark Hueffman (sp) was involved in it? I found one thread with him but not...

    Boost Controller Thread??

I'm wondering if anyone remembers the thread or can just point me to one that involves using a Ball & Spring Grainger Valve setup & still allows the car to have the Stock Boost Solenoid hooked up so the Dash Lights work? I know the one I had saved before was probably at least 4-5 years old. I...

Not so good first drive of the year. UPDATE 9/12/14 VIDEO

I've had a pancaked rod bearing & a loose crank sensor that made the same kind of noise right about 2K RPM . Take off the belt & if you still hear it get the front end on jack stands & get a good close listen with a buddy bringing up RPM. My crank sensor was just a tiny bit loose & I guess the...

How 2 test fuel pressure reg?

If it's an Accufab style adjustable regulator then just remove the 6 screws & take off the top. The only thing you can check is if the diaphram is torn or damaged. They sell repair kits but thats all thats included. Not very often the diaphram will tear but it has happened.
