Best torque converter prices???

Dusty Bradford and PTC is the best out there. Fast, cheap, and good. Pick two. Unless of course you want a garage full torque convertors.

The car has new NGK UR5's gapped at 32, I don't hear any exhaust leaks or see any evidence of one but I know that it could still be possible, coil pack and module fairly new and test good. Ive changed Denso O2 sensors out several times just to make sure. The plug wires could be causing a problem, they are Magancores but last time I drove the car I thought I heard some interference in the radio that sounded like maybe a bad wire. Car has new Racetronix fp,Accufab fpr, 60 lb injectors, upgraded wiring to fp,new Delco fuel filter and no matter the fp and at only around 15 lbs of boost I cant the o2s out of the 600's at wot. I might get a set of wires to see if it helps any.
How can I get in touch with Dusty about a converter if I need one?

I would love to get a higher stall but don't think I can tackle this job in my garage with my tools :(
It’s not that hard. Jack the car waaay up and put on jack stands. Get a cheapo low transmission jack. And go to work. Basic hand tools with a long ratchet extension and Universal for the bolts that attach the engine to the block.

Everything else is pretty obvious. I’ve done it several times alone.

"Low transmission jack"??? You talking about your chest? :D

Also, 14mm ratchet wrenches for the top two transmission bellhousing bolts. That's the easiest way on those if you don't have a 4' extension, impact gun, and a wobble socket

I still have a sinking feeling you're going to be in the same boat after you R&R the transmission and buy a converter (along with a bunch of ATF).

But hey, there's no stronger life lessen than a good ole fashion butt wipping! :)

Personally, I'd do the toilet paper test on the header, pull the plugs, measure the wires, etc long before I'd pull the transmission. But that's just me. To each their own.

Lots of truth in this post amidst the humor :D

Humor??? That's how I pull a trans in my driveway. Wriggle under the car and drop it on my chest. Then get it on a piece of cardboard and slide out out from under the car.

Is there any other way? lol

You guys amaze me. I have access to heated and air conditioned shop, 4' extension, impact, wobble sockets, lift, trnasmission jack, and I STILL hate pulling engines and transmissions. I wish I had your drive [emoji23]

Drove the car some this weekend and on top of those problems it is redlining before it shifts into 2nd. I had to back off the throttle before it would shift. I adjusted the cable by holding in button and opening the throttle up and letting go of button. That made it slip really bad and wouldn't hardly change into second gear, I pulled over and pushed the detent cable back in to where it was.

Have you tried the factory adjustment procedure?

Press button and pull cable housing all the way out, let button go then get in car and press gas pedal to floor.

I did it the way the article said do it, I didn't describe it correctly in my post. When I did so I wasn't sure if that was the correct way to do it until after I read the instructions.

Very happy with my husek 3021 hf. Think it was $600.
Had the 3021 on my GN with a TA60. Great converter. Equally impressive was the support I got from Dave before I even bought it. Very easy to get a hold of on the phone.
