Anyone running a Vince Janis stage 1 in there car, if so what you mods. He say it will hold up to 500 hp. I reall dont know what my car is making. I have a Percision te62 turbo, precision front mounted inner cooler, alcky, down pipe, 42 lbs injector and tt chip running 23 lbs of boost. I heard Vince Janis, Dave, and Lonnie are the 3 best around.

The one you don't see if you aren't using a regular web browser

You can see all the mods his car has that are listed at the bottom each time he posts....That is his signature...They are listed there to help other board members answer questions such as the one you asked...Create a signature and list all your mods...Are you heads stock?? Are they ported?? Do you have a stock cam??? What exhaust?? If people know what you have they can better help you!!

I had a TA62 with 42# injectors with an unopened block with an rjc 3"dp, hooker exhaust, gn1 slic , alky and tt chip as well, your combo was identical. Had Janis do the stage 1 last fall, and it ran well, might want to add a little on the torque converter though. No complaints on the build, and he turned it around quick.

Might vary a bit on what you have and what you need. I had a 21k mile good condition 200R4 that someone put an obnoxious shift kit in. I dropped the car off, he pulled the tranny, tore it down, built it , and reinstalled it in 3 days, was around $1500. drives like a charm with nice firm shifts, not a neck breaker anymore.

Nice!

Vince is awesome. I once drove to Ohio to visit family and to attend the Super Summit event they have up there every year. Anyhow, I dropped off the tranny Saturday morning and he had it ready for me on Monday. Super nice guy and he is an expert with these 2004R transmissions.

How much was it to rebuild and what stage did you go with

I have a full-billet transmission. The price was $650, but that was 3 years ago so I'm sure it's a bit more now. He replaced the direct drum, clutches etc. He also converted it from dual feed back to stock configuration. It was originally built by someone else, and Vince fixed everything that was wrong with it.

Vince is the way to go. A++++++ all the way around. Builds a damn good trans and stands behind his work as well. Needless to say I'm a happy customer of his also.

I had 2 trans built by him! The one trans is in my old car and it's a stage 1 from him! Let's just say the car is putting out almost 500rwhp the trans is still as quick as ever to shift doesn't miss a beat!
