Hey all,
If a transmission is in good shape and sits for a really long time, what goes wrong other than the seals? I'm slooooowly restoring my '59 LeSabre and noticed that the Dynaflow probably only has about 2000 miles since rebuild. Now that being said, it was rebuilt in late '92 and my grandfather only drive it to the corner store or church and back until he permanently parked it in '94. After he passed in '99, I drove the car around a little and then it was parked for years. It's been in my garage for 12 years now.
I got a rebuild kit for it and was planning to learn autos with this one, however I really wonder how far I really need to dig into it? Thoughts?
