Race/pump gas mix...

I'm alittle confused on the octane mixing table. Just rather ask.

Ok I run 94 octane on 17boost easy with matching TT chip. I would like to run 20psi safely with a new matching 100-104ul tt chip. 100 unleaded should be enough for 20psi, I think.

Per Buick fuel tank how many of gallons of unleaded 100ul do I add when mixing with 94 octane to make 100 octane in total in the tank?
I think its 3 gallons of 100ul and then fill the rest of the tank with 94(pump gas)? I would be buying 100ul in 5 gallon pails. It's like a weekend car, I don't race.

ok thx , I'm off...sounds expensive. Maybe alky(meth) is better. I'm just a little paranoid if the pump fails and running 20psi boost, it's not really a plug and play and forget about it.

Go alky my friend.

Less to worry about than mixing fuels. You should then be able to run something higher than 20 PSI based on a generally healthy set-up.

thx, for the reply's...I really don't want to go that high. They say 20-22 done right is fun;)

If you mix 3 gallons of 100 octane and 15 gallons of 94 octane you end up with 95 octane. Not worth the trouble. Alky is way more cost effective.

VP Octanium, Torco, and Race Gas brand boost octane to 100+ octane

Go with Razors alky kit. You will be very happy you did. Eric can burn you a new chip and your golden. I make substantially more power then you and have never had a issue in the last 10 years with it. I run 24psi and 94 as my minimum setting on the street and that puts down over 800 at the rear tire..... Nothing to be paranoid about. It will pay itself off in no time after a couple of your mixes of race fuel and pump gas.

I've never trusted any of these ''octane boosters''. (n) Race fuel is more expensive but at least, I know what I have in my tank, no guesswork. (y)

Claude ;)

P.S: I also remember trying some xylene and never saw any improvement whatsoever...

Single nozzle meth will wake that car right up and drop Intake charge temps.mixing not that much more octane 100 with 94 is a crapshoot that's not worth the risk inmo.also have to tune in more volume if the 100 is oxygenated.

Lol, this post takes me way back. I used xylene and turned it up, blew the head gasket completely out into oblivion lmao!

Back in the day, I also used xylene. I poured a gallon into my fuel cell with 9 gallons of 93. I think it worked a little something. But I was only using it with 10 gallons of fuel. In a full size stock gas tank, it's still not worth it.

Back in the late '90's I ran a 93 octane ATR Pitbull street chip to #20 boost (no knock) with 100 unleaded straight out of the pump at a station in Portland IN ($3.99 gal back then)

With a Conelys performance plus 104 octane race chip I could run #20 boost with just a little KR on 2-3 shift mixing 11 gal 110 turbo blue and 5 gal 91 (105 octane).

Mostly depends on timing of the chip.

3 gallons of 94 --- 94x3= 282

1 gallon xylene --- 117x1 = 117

282 +117 = 399

399/4 = 99.75 octain

You can easily run 21 lbs of boost with this mixture.
I think a gallon of xylene costs $18.00
This is as expensive as 110 leaded but won't harm your o2 sensor.

If you ever try E85 you'll never want to go back because your turbo will spool in half the time.
You can run all the boost you want and it wont harm your o2 sensor.
