Going to be putting this setup on my 84 GN this weekend and next. Double adjustable Viking coil overs on all 4 corners with 400lb rate on front 225lb on rears, umi upper control arms with the taller ball joints, umi lowers, umi rear lower and upper as well as new bushings in the ears of the rear end. Going to be running GNX wheels with 245/50/16. I think giving it a 2 inch drop will not only make the appearance better also make handling quite a bit better as well.

Anyone out there have a similar setup with coil overs on all 4 corners? What are your thoughts on the setup and the functionality and adjust-ability of the coil overs?

Here is how everything went.

Before

after

Some images of the suspension and coil overs

on to the passenger side and some images as I went through the installation

and the stance after I cranked them down a bit, cant wait till I get the rear end in and can adjust all 4 corners....make her low......she's a little dusty, needs a wash....

Those with the control arms looks nice.

Toby how do you like the Vikings? Could you get the front to sit lower if you wanted?

I have Vikings all way around same
Black UMI uooer lowrs up front

I think my spindles are stock but not sure but I do have taller ball joints

Stock wheels and new BF TA radials

It handles like a newer model car and very pleased with it

Of note
After installing mine and it sat a few months I think it self lowered a little and feels like it's rubbing a little when turn wheel all way right/left

Think the springs settle and self lower on coil overs?

I had this issue, I took my car to a good shop that does more than "set the toe and let it go". The caster was a bit on the high side, they took it down to 4.5 (I think?) and no more rubbing.
