Upgrade advice.

hmm .. I would call it the LAZY way out and If you have money to just blow .. also effects other TTA specific items that will need to be addressed .. depends on if the OP is willing to give up a few things

That's a minimum of a $5K swap ... is it really worth it ??? Only the OP can answer that ..

I would exhaust other less costly options first .
Opinions vary. Some would say that converting to E85 or running aftermarket ecu is being lazy but the people who do it do it because they understand the benefits. If cost is a concern then you're probably in the wrong hobby. Especially when looking for reliable 9 sec power.

Last year i run whith the old 3.8 ,212-212 cam ,E85 and stock ecm,the crank were all worn so i restored the engine with the best parts and a new Haltech,proffetional tuning and all that only gain 50rwhp.
Car feels stronger,more torque but the 402 times just 10.90,10.95 last year.
Thinking of ported iron GN1 ??
And TA headers,i have no A/C.
I just want to spend the money on the rigth parts.
Goal is low 10 sec car.
Any advice of converter,thinking 9.5" 3500 stall now i have a 10" 3200 stall.

How far can you go whith 3" exhast?

The GN-1 iron's are a step up, but if you can afford it, you would most likely see bigger gains w/the aluminum race ported heads. I purchased the TA/SI heads for a 4.1 project if I ever get the 3.8(w/TA/SE's) finished.
If you are referencing to a 3" exhaust, it should be ok, and the 3" D/P has been in the 9's. Bo can confirm the D/P size.
The other items I would consider would be the 3.73's and the 120 injectors, if they can handle enough flow for the goal. Again Bo has put in a lot of time in his TTA and can better direct you if my suggestions are in left field.

Dump the 4.1 .. save the 5K your gonna blow on heads ... put in a LS and run mid 9's till your tired of it
 
Well i already have a Firebird with a 383 and alot of mods+150 shot noz, so if i want the sound of a V8 ,there is no problem,but nobody so far has come to a race whith a TTA 3.8 turbo Buick here in Sweden.
