Very early 1-2 shift at WOT with KC valvebody and GN governor?

200-4r gurus. I finally have my new stroker build up and running after a couple years of down time (new baby and not enough time). I have built quite a few 200-4rs but do not consider myself a guru with the hydraulics and this issue is plaguing me. I run a KC valve body on mine with a stock GN governor and really enjoyed the 6000 rpm shifts. All of a sudden one day at the track a couple years ago whether it’s off the trans-brake or the footbrake the shift into 2nd gear is almost instantaneous after the launch and is basically in 2nd gear before I’m 10 ft off the line at a low rpm keeping my 60s In the 1.75-8 range. Driving around town the transmission is perfect even on the 1-2 and the early 1-2 isn’t discernable under Wot due to tire spin. I have removed and cleaned the valve body, new gaskets etc… and even had the trans apart for new seals throughout, swapped in a different PR and Boost valve etc… and the problem still exist. I have a BR untouched valve body that I plan on swapping over but I really liked the KC and want to figure out what is causing the issue. The Hydraulic mods to the trans include a CK servo, CK shift kit, dual fed and the Stagerite brake, .555/.296 boost valve, deep pan with 700 filter. Pressures hold during the run even through the early shift (although it was hard to watch a gauge while launching with how fast the shift comes up). 2-3 shift remains at 5980-6050. Thanks for any advice.

WHile i'm no guru either, I would have to think something changed in the 334, 335, 336 pieces as I believe according to the gnttype.org pic that is what controls the 1-2 shift. This is of course the brf vb so the kc might be a little different. Are you sure you put the sleeve and plunger back as they came out? Might try to find another KC vb and swap it in. Or look at the stuff/springs in the replacement kc and see if they are different.

I would put that BRF valve body in because the problem might still exist with it which might eliminate the valve body as the cause.
