Jegs 200r4 anybody run one?

For what it costs several vendors have better built ones for a few more dollars.

I get it on dave but the initial question was has anybody run a jegs 2004r transmission? It looks as if no one has.

Can't go wrong with a trans from Dave.

I'm sure someone has, but if it was such a great deal/trans the people that have used one would have shared that by now.

These transmissions are not easy to build for power and stay together for long. That's why you will hear people recommend Dave, Lonnie, Janis and a few others as they have built these units for years and have the experience of over a decade each in building these units and know what it takes to build them and hold up for years of abuse.

There is a reason it take weeks to get one and don't just have them sitting on a shelf waiting to be shipped.

My local trans guy won't touch a 2004r because he doesn't/can't promise that it will stay together at my power level and I have had him build me many transmissions that have never failed both foreign and domestic.

Independent builders in a specialized market will take the time to get it right versus a company that sells all units in volume and have acceptable fail/warranty rates.

I'm sure someone has,but other board members have sent you a link to guide you in the right direction.very few can build a great 200.spend wisely

Jegs sells the 200r4 was wondering if anybody had any experience with one of these
If its the tci that jegs sells stay away from it, mine had a bad 2nd to 3rd flair it didn't last long behind an 11 second car. I recently bought daves tbpt standard and his 3021 converter and by far this is the best trans and converter combo I have ever run.

Give Dave a call. It will be worth your time. Great guy and very knowledgable.

In my experience these transmissions do not stand up to the hp and toque the Buick makes. I have never found one to last long. They do not use a BRF valve body and do not have the correct clutch clearance and line pressures.

Your best bet is someone who understands the performance of these cars and how to deal with that in a 2004r.

Janis Transmission is a good resource and has a good following. Give him a call I am sure he will help you out.
