86 elco with 5.0 and Cruise Speedo Cable question...

My father gave a bit of a pull when pulling the cluster and I think he stretched the cable. I believe w/o cruise is a 1 piece cable and with cruise is a 2 piece. If that's true, I'm guessing he'd only need to replace the top cable. Anyone have a part number or a link possibly?

LMC Truck only has 1982-04 S10 Pickup - No El Camino. Not sure what a diagram would do. It should just be plug and play... just can't figure out what I'm missing.

you won't "stretch" the cable by pulling on the cluster... you might pull it thru the grommet in the firewall, but it won't stretch..

you'll break the retaining tab off the speedo before you wreck the cable..

if he did somehow manage to wreck it- which i doubt- a new cable is as close as your favorite local auto parts store... and they are cheap...
