First I want to thank all the guys here for the tips, help and knowledge on these cars, especially the HA set up. Let's be real it takes some HAIRY BALLS! To even attempt to work on these motors. I always will remember the day in 2002, I met the two top guys in NorCal known for TRs and both of them seen my car, which at the time only had a short block and a mangled harness under the hood. They told me,"nobody wants those:eek:" "Ugrade it to an 87" one guy even said I only work on 86/87s. But thanks to this site I was able to not only get the car running but I had a lot of fun in it too although now I have updated to an lc2 set up, I will always have a different respect for guys that stick with these motors and get them to go fast (y)
Saying all that to get to this I do have some decent parts up for cheap, pm me if interested
1. Stock turbo
2. Stock ecm
3. Tb/intake
4. 38# injectors/TT chip
5. 85&87 stock maf
6.86/87ecm
7.spearco Intercooler

You're a wussy. The HA cars are for those that have more brains because they have to think how to make them work, unlike the IC guys, that have simple bolt on parts. For those of us that can use our heads and intelligence to make things work I hope you have a good time, but screw off.:p

Bro u miss understood what I'm saying. All I said was I respect those of us to to upmost that do tinker with these cars. Honestly I feel the way u feel. I didn't convert my car because it was too tough for me or those fake gn guys I meet years ago, I converted because it's what I wanted to do with the car at this point. Why are you in your feelings calling me names? What's that all about? I will always respect hot air guys no matter what set up I go with in the future. Maybe you should slow down and read what I said. Btw... The tongue should be treated like a double edge sword.

Dude, lighten up:p. Even Brent's gone IC:eek:. These cars are hard enough and even I've considered going the same way at times.
It's all good dawg, thanks for clearing this up, it was harmless sarcasm, jus shows how dumb I really am lol

NorCalTurbos, Charlief1 is one of the GOOD Guys. I myself is also converting to intercooled. I guess the point Charlief1 was making is if you can tune a HOTAIR you can tune ANY Intercooled car. Hot Airs are mean Heifers. You just about have to tune it to run on the EDGE...(Just about blow up). I am still a low timing with intercooled. My own setup will be the 3rd one I have converted. As far as Brent, Brent is a Hot Air gurus who has a FAST ASS Hot Air. At his level, he is going to intercooled.. My hat is off to Brent! I would hold on the Spearco Intercooler. It is rated over 1000cfm, up to 780 hp....

Thanks bru, it's tough reading these post sometimes it's like reading a song someone else wrote...... You see the words but read it differently than the writer.

Thanks, I might be back at it if I get another car. Made over 600 rwhp at 21psi with lots of room to go. Just changing things up some for awhile.. I might list my hotair parts and sell them but not for cheap as I don't plan on losing much and I have no real reason to sell the stuff.

Well, I am glad that you let the CAT out the bag. You and the Arizona Whiz, Nick Micale, built a killer 600 Hot Air... You have surpassed the great one Leo and Mrs, Jamie... I would not sell my Hot Air parts.. You NEVER get what you put into them... Short of a Stage Block or a TA block, you have exceeded the limitations of the stock block. I am sure if you switched to e85 with 120lb injectors, you could go DEEP in the low 9's. Congrats to you and Nick on a excellent build up...

Could have made alot more power as it was making around 33 to 35hp per pound of boost. Had alot of issues along the way but I have learned how to do it now. I still have a 109 block here that might go into another car hotair style but we shall see. Only thing I would sell right now is the turbo throttle body setup and intake.

If you could find one, I would suggest a Nova (69-71) or a Chevy II (64-66). These cars are under 3000lbs, Saving 600lbs+ should equal some great times. Your 600hp+ engine should make the car technical a sleeper... but not for long... I can assume your car was not a light weight... If you can't find any of the cars mentioned, look at a 2nd Gen RX7..2600lbs and a 600+hp engine. This is what I was going to do with my RX7...33 to 35 X 21 boost = 693 / 735 hp. This would be a NICE Sleeper... in the hi 8's.

Buicks only but I like your thinking
