Let's see those Limiteds!!!

Does anyone have any further information on how to remove the lighted plaque over the glove-box to replace the bulbs?

There was some information & a few pictures a few pages back, but I don't recall anything about how to actually remove the panel without damaging it.

Thank you
I'll look into in in my "Kirban's Guide to 1986-1987 Turbo Regals" when I get home. I know he addresses the lighted Limited dash plaque in a special section that covers Limiteds.

On a side note, here's one of the white ones I had a just a few years back. Rare, WO2 Limited with Astroroof, red interior with pillow velour seats, loaded with 64,000 original miles.

Sorry for the delay but I just checked the book.

Page 161 of Kirban's Guide to 1986-1987 Turbo Regals addresses the Turbo Regal Limited's lighted dash plaque and the fact it's a silk-screened unit unlike all the others. This lets light to shine through allowing it to glow, but unfortunately Kirban doesn't explain anything about the actual light source.

I had several Limiteds and really liked the soft glow of that dash plaque. I wish all the Regals had that feature.

There are 2 small bulbs in sockets on the back side of the panel. Drop the glove box all the way down and contort yourself to reach them ☺

I was wondering about that. I'm not real good about that contortionist crap!

Thanks, I'll check it out.

My 45k mile Limited at the turbobuick.com nats. Drove the car 984 miles round trip from Pittsburgh PA to Burlington NC and back and it drove like a dream.

Car look familiar?.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Some pics of my 87 Limited. Started not to post, since it's already on here twice, with 2 other owners, lol. It's been through quite a bit, over last 10 years. I tell everyone it's made its way home, the car originally sold new here in Texas, one hour from where I live. It gets driven and raced.

It still looks good.

According to Dennis Kirban it's probably the only living original white/WO2 loaded Limited with factory Astroroof option.

Thanks. I've spent lots of money on it, to try and bring it up to date.

I know of at least one other W02/CF5 White Turbo Limited, guy ordered it like that, along with digital dash.

Lots of upgrades over last 2 weeks. Just switched car over to the TT SD2 setup also, with a DW300 fuel pump.
Timeslip is from few months back, before this setup, it was with a cracked drivers side header, plus the converter not locking up. Stock engine, upgraded valve springs, stock turbo and intercooler.

Am I correct that's like mid 11's in the 1/4?

Ordered the Build Sheet for the Buick couple weeks ago, received it yesterday. Super exciting. image.jpeg

I have a beginner's question. Do all Turbo Limited cars also have a 9 in the VIN like the Grand Nationals?

No - ALL turbo regal limiteds are VIN 7 cars. There were no limited hot air cars. They also were M cars.

Here's a scanned in pic of the Limited I owned back in 1997 or 1998. Gorgeous shade of blue exterior, plush blue velour interior. I can't remember how many miles it had but it wasn't a whole lot. Someone backed into it when the previous owner had it and it had the grill bashed in and driver side headlight bezel broke.
If anyone remembers buying one like this in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at that time let me know.
I was forced to sell after a motorcycle accident left me losing my license and going on high risk insurance. Always kicked myself for just not putting it in storage for a couple years.
