Ok whatever dude. Do you just troll around high jacking people's threads looking for places to insert jacka** comments? I don't care what a world of difference is to you, I was trying to be beneficial to the OP. If it wasn't beneficial now, it will be when I get the car back together and put...
Bison, I guess you missed the part about the guys saying it made a world of difference in power. I'm going to follow it up with actual data that can be measured.
Does anyone have any ACTUAL DATA on changing plenum volume only on an 86/87 109 based engine? I'm not interested in manifolds with different runner lengths/port sizes, etc only changes in plenum volume. I've done a search though this site hasn't been working for me the last couple days. I've...
"For us with no fab skills, would there be a 3 bolt housing to mount the turbo in the stock location in the future? I'm sure your build will be successful many would like an alternative turbo to the brands we have now."
Sorry, totally missed this question. I guess my alert didn't work for some...
It is what it is. The guys know the risks. I was just trying to make the point that M5 makes more power. If it takes another pump to sustain being able to pump M5 so be it. Pumps are cheap these days.
I've had some guys use M5, they said it made a world of difference in power. I don't know exactly how much but I'm going to test it back to back with M1 as soon as my car is back together. I know you're not supposed to mix M5 with water based on the lubricants. These guys were using the Snow...
It's no big deal really. I was pointing out that the 1000whp number was about 250 off from where it should be at standard fuel pressure. 850 seems about right for an 88 at 16-18psi. We'll know when/if we get the other info. Doesn't matter who's right as long as the guy gets his stuff fixed.
Using a BSFC of .6 and duty cycle of 100%; 43.5psi fuel pressure, those injectors support 950 crank. Using 12% driveline reduction, probably a little conservative for a converter car, rear wheel power is mid 800's. Those numbers seem pretty reasonable for an 88mm especially considering most...
I'm with David, given the combo you have, sounds like you are making enough power to max the injectors but we'd need to know fuel pressure and AFR at the point of 100% duty cycle to confirm.
The bung is where the factory O2 sensor goes. We used a set of Kenne Bell headers for the modification and it already had that in there. Eventually we have a header design we are going to implement but didn't have the time to do it this go around. It will have an EGT and EBP sensor really...
