Jake ,can you shed any light on the 3rd gear cutback mod? A recent 400 i rebuilt the pressure would drop off when shifting to 3rd . It is dual fed though,so far has been working fine . This was an auto shift valvebody built by a local guy .Would like to see the pressure stay up in 3rd if this...

Generally anywhere between about 25 psi and 65 as a ballpark.

You want to wash frictions ??? I wouldn't use any solvent. Maybe clean them off with clean ATF.

I'd use it, fill with plenty oil to soak everything . As long as it has been stored indoors will be fine. No different to one that has been in my rearely driven car for many years , it still runs sweet .

Can i ask is this just a Buick prob or common to other motors also ??:redface: Is this beneficial for all T.400? Is it the extra pressure pushes the converter forward that wipes the crank thrust?? I've just not struck this before ..Thanks
