I sent GNX 239's turbo to Precision six weeks ago to be rebuilt. Precision still has the turbo...... When I called them they said they had "some" GNX parts left? Does anyone know if I made the correct choice in sending my GNX turbo to them? They did a great job on my GN turbo...

I came from the exhaust manufacturing business in my previous job. When I discovered GNX 239 needed a new exhaust I started to search for a new or NOS exhaust. There are some NOS exhausts out there, but I have found them to be very expensive! With my connections in the "QUALITY" exhaust...

At this time I am gathering parts. So far I have purchased front and rear NOS GM fillers. The original GNX wheels have been sent out to be restored. All the sheetmetal that was damaged has been removed. Still looking for some very hard to find parts! Aluminum front bumper support etc....

It did!

The roof is just surface rust from sitting outside so long. I used a product that removed all the rust! I will post pictures very soon! I think everyone is going to be amazed at how easy it was to take this car back to as new condition! Jeff

Thank you everyone for your kind words and offers to help in the restoration! I removed the original GNX wheels last night to send them out to be redone. Next step is to remove the front sheet metal. I call GNX 239 "JOE DIRT" right now. Thanks and enjoy! Jeff

I am glad everyone is being positive because I want to share these posts with the original owners son when he comes to see the car when it is done. Thank you to everyone on this forum for being kind and understanding how important this car was to the late owner and his son.

I will post pictures as the restoration moves forward. As a 1987 GN owner myself this car is very clean and has no rust like we see up North so the restoration should go very smooth! This isn't my first rodeo with vehicle restoration. Jeff
