Guys this is a great deal. I did the conversion in a G Body 442 and you can pay much more. The top plate, brackets, cables and dust boots are well over $100 by themselves. I have seen the rods alone go over $1K.
You have to consider these are the 3 speed rods you find all over eBay. They...

The LR conversion is just a shifter mod. It requires a set of 4-speed rods (which can be hard to come by and expensive), new top plate, dust boots, shifter cable and two brackets. A little dremel work has to be done underneath the console to make them fit.
I did it to an 87 Olds. Done...
MCASTEEL.....Your a winner. You know the car, and it is the baddest GN I have ever seen. The pics do the talking, if someone can show me a nicer one at this price I'd buy it. The devil is in the details. It's easy to get the major stuff done, but this car wins hands down in the detail.
I know you all think he is crazy...but I have seen this car personally multiple times, and he is in the right ballpark for what it is, not what he has into it. He is being fairly brief about the manhours involved in this car and the level of perfection it is restored to. I am a G-Body guy, look...
IMHO the 3-speed's usually sell for alot less, as they are fairly common, and unless I am horribly off, I think you can still buy them new (or NOS) if you dig around. Whereas the 4 speed rods are not available.
The only thing really special, besides being cool (and too complex for Chevy guys to figure out) is there limited production. Hurst made the original LR's in the late 60's early 70's, but those were 3-speed rods.....so be careful...there are lots of those laying around. The 4-speed rods were...
I put them in my 87 442, which has the same center console and transmission as your GNX. It's a snap (once you acquire a good set of rods). Go over to the Hurst Olds website, or 442.com or the G-Body site and get in touch with Angelo Valenti, he has a store on the G-Body site. He will make you a...
