Hello Gents,

I'm in the process of building a Turbo LS Engine for my T-Type. I'm trying to get an idea of what every ones combo is and in one thread. I assume it will help others in the future to have one thread with everyone's combo so they can get an idea of which route to take. Could you list:

1) Which Block you're using example LQ4, LQ9
2) Which Turbo (and why that particular turbo)
3) Cam Specs
4) Which Heads (and what work has been done to them)
5) Fastest Quarter Mile Time (Assuming you've taken it to the track)
6) What did you do to lower compression to make the engine more "turbo friendly"
7) Engine Management Sytem

How do you like the 7675? If you could have gone bigger would you have? I'm not sure whether I want to go with that turbo or a larger turbo in the 80mm series to get the most from my V8. I don't know if the lag would be noticeable between an 80mm series and an 7675. More than likely I'm going to go with the 80mm series but I would like to get others opinions/facts. Is your turbo BB? Dude I noticed you are getting it done with a stock ECU, how is that possible? is your tranny built?

regarding the 75/81 snf 87/81 im assuming htose are two different turbo's. How was the lag in both of those turbos compared to one another. Also, if you could do it over again, what turbo would you use and why?

I'm happy with the 7675. An S480 would be awesome but I don't think the extra turbo capacity would make up for the hassle of packaging a monster turbo in the engine bay. Having an air filter and fender wells was a priority for me though..

This 7675 lights off instantly on the 5.3 and it's a journal bearing. This setup isn't maxed out yet in my opinion. This year, the car shed some weight with an aluminum block and aluminum wheels. Also, have a stouter shortblock with higher compression. Goal is 9.50s.

When I said stock ecu, I was referring to a stock LS ecu. It's out of a 2005 Chevy 1 ton van.

Trans is a stock 09 4l80e with an HD2 shift kit and Circle D 2B converter.

75/81 = compressor. 87/81 = turbine size.

Are you running a MAF or an SD tune on the stock ECU?
Thanks
