its not as bad as the title would indicate, my car when not under a load at cruising speeds well....... kinda shuffles back and forth almost like driving a manual transmission in high gear at low speeds. does this make sense? i have only owned the car for 3 days now but i drove it 1300 miles so i had some time to get familiar and this is the only thing that bothers me. anyone else have this issue?

I've had it 2 times. One was a loose plug wire to the coil pack. Second one was corrosion on a coil pack terminal.

I've seen a few cars over time shutter when going into overdrive {mostly Crown Vics}/{OD clutch wear} You could possilby service the trans and see if that helps. Sometimes the old fluid does'nt let the OD clutch engage smoothly.

Just post pics of the car and we will figure it out for. Lots of us 20+ year TR guys around to help.
Far as I can tell from receipts it has new cat back exhaust, 3" down pipe and 3" cat, big mouth cold air injection system and adjustable fuel regulator and gauge set @ 41#

Car has 40,000 miles and has not been abused, I know these pictures are useless to finding what upgrades I have but I just thought you all would appreciate a quality survivor Turbo T

WOW, thats freakin nice. Thats gonna turn some heads. Congrats.
With most chips, fuel should be at 43, vacuum line off.

Any chance that car came from Illinois? Did it once have a police strobe light package?

I am still trying to find these things out, I have had the car for three days
Maybe I'm miss understanding the description of your problem? But could it be an out of balance driveshaft?
Check to see if there is a scar left behind from a missing counter weight on the shaft. If nothing else, it only takes a minute to look.

Could be the torque converter or the solenoid. There is a plug on the driver side of the trans. Unplug it and see if it clears up.

I can almost guarantee that your positive wires going to the starter are shorting out and you prob have acouple exposed strands . Check it out and while u are down there check the grounds .

unhook the black connector on the drivers side of the transmission, it a square plug just above the pan bolts. That will render the tcc inop, then go for a drive and see if it still shutters. If it still shutters then we eliminate the converter and can move on to plug wires or other issues. A free test, then report back.
