I was informed at a car show today, that a GN is a 15 second car and 13's if you really push it. Guy with a very nice '65 Chevy pu let me know. He had a 454 with a 50 shot.We were supposed to go race after the show but it never happened. He also said he should race me between 2 stop signs because I would never spool. When I left I had to give him and his buddies a demo. Was going maybe 5mph and nailed it. Tires went up in smoke within a few feet. I have a built 109, duel alky, PTS S/L intercooler, FAST, 83's small roller, 54 turbo and a 9 1/2 PTC 3600 stall. It spools just fine thank you.This all started when he asked what it would run in Denver, told him 11.50. He flat out called me a lier. He did not even want to hear about the car because he said they just don't run that good. Oh well, I won a real nice trophey.

There's a handful of Chevy guys out there that are just as bad as Mustang and Corvette owners when it comes to thinking there stuff is the fastest on the block. In fairness, there's a few douchebag Mopar guy's out there too.

I was there and I saw the whole assorted affair happen. Maybeeeeeeeeeeeee..............
1- One of those young kids that were with him informed him of a bit more "more up to date" info on the cars. ORRRRRRRRR...........
2- Maybe I accepted his buddy's $200 bet a bittttt too quick. He said he'd put up $200 on the truck, truck owner says "oh don't do that", I snapped back "ok I can make that happen". Of course I smiled a bit of a grin, turned and walked away immediately .
Also in his defense buddy, it DID take you about 5' to get spooled and send the tires up in smoke......... But those cars don't spool right ????? HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA
PS- forgot to add "SIXBANGR" That was my WIFES money I had in my pocket backing you LMAO. She called on the way home and asked if it happened. Even she knew better, and had your back haha.

I was at a car show once with my Grey car and some guys asked me what my car ran I told them low 10"s. They went crazy called me a liar and the car lots of names. I pulled out a time slip to which he says "I can get one of those from anywhere" and challanges me to a race for $500 "right out front of everyone here" He has a big block chevell on street tires that maybe goes high 11's on slicks but has street tires on the car. I am on full kill with race gas and slicks on the car. Of course I agree and as we prepare to pull out in front of the show on the highway word gets around the show and someone who knows me and my car goes over and wises this guy up. Sundenly he is filled with excuses and bails out. pretty common car show story.

I do know what my car runs, but when asked, I usually say the same thing.
Otherwise, the BS starts freely flowing from the guy telling me how his uncles-brothers-ex-wifes cousin used to have a Monte Carlo that ran a full second faster "back in the day"

Loren could go with his "no spoolin' turd" maybe HAHA. I got a buddy with a GTO Judge that likes that show, maybe get him to go. And I mentioned this show to a bud from Topeka and he showed some interest. Could be fun ......... Hell my kids Regal will be done by then to now that I think about it. What say you ?????
