That sounds sick, I hope we get some pictures in the V-8 section.
Ask Jose from Forced Inductions about the stall requirements on that turbo. He is JZ 97 SS 1500 on this board. He does a lot of work with the Borg Warner Airwerks stuff.

John thanks for the heads up, I'll contact him here shortly.
I'll post some pictures soon as I get started, before and after pics. Right now I'm just trying to get all the parts and come up with a good game plan. Combination is everything as you already know, then the fab work will begain Kinda nervous as this is my first V8 turbo project though....I guess like everything, it's based on trial and error

For a full T6 S80, then yeah that stall will be more then enough. If you want only 700-750rwhp, then you can always opt for the ST80 series which will spool much faster and also has a easier to fit 3.5" DP and is a T4 flange.

Well, I will most likely get the ST80 due to it being more of a street car. How much are these turbo's going for right now? and what is the HP rating, is it capable of 800-900 rwhp if I want to get really agressive later on. Thanks! Ray |

Ray just send me a PM. I will get you all the info you need. As for the ST80 doing 800+rwhp. Yes it will handle it, as the unit will outpower any of the GT42 series and is inline with the GT45-80R. Here is a post of one on a LS1 that was fully built with a auto tranny. LS1TECH - ST80 vs 76GTS some tad bit of info....more will be coming |
