My entire car other than the roll cage was built in my garage. We are starting to see big $$$ guys spending over 100k on radial tire cars now but as long as the rules are kept in check there will be a place for guys like us.

I'd love to build a DR car, but I don't want to run leaf springs (nova body). Can you run ladder bars or is it only stock sup?

I think ladder bars are allowed up your way with a weight penalty. They are not legal here or at any of the big races down south. I think they let them in up north to help car counts initially. As more cars are built that may change so that it's back to stock suspension. I'd check around your area and see if they are allowed at the tracks you'd want to run. The big races like the 15k race late in the year are strictly stock suspension.

Build the Nova and use calvert bars on the leaf springs.
Artis Houston has been 7.9s on 275/60/15 DRs.

I think being the fastest and quickest stock suspension Turbo Regal in the World deserves front page recognition...

I don't want to hijack!

I'm just not in love with leaf springs, Maybe a different body style. The guy with the firebird with the f-3, that's a cool car too.

Little late on this, but Congrats on getting her in the 7's Dusty!!! That is one heck of an accomplishment and what makes it even more impressive is that you built the car and you don't own some big name shop. Not too many guys can lay claim to that
