wastegate soloniode
If the soloniode was going bad or is bad would mycar overboost? I turn down my boost controller and the boost will just go higher and higher until i let off of the gas. I have tried adjusting the wastegate rod but it will still do the same thing.

Yes..two ways to test, first block off the open end and see if it still overboosts..this will tell you if its the selenoid..
You can do a resistance check on it..make sure its should be less than a 100 ohms. Just a selenoid. Someone had said 39..I've never measured mine.

The solenoids can fail open-- when I first bought my TTA the wastegate solenoid failed open and caused an overboost. New solenoid fixed the problem.
