rear main seal

I understand you have to jack the motor to do the rear main seal on TTA's. Where is a good place to put the jack?? Also are we talking a couple of inches or more? Thanks !

just did mine. You gotta go up as far as you can..you'll know you've gone all the way when you start to pick the car off the jack stands. You can use the flex plate or the harmonic balancer....
