New Best

Went to a late model muscle car challenge at the local
track, it was put on by JBA. (got to wax a few stangs)

I was super suprised w/ just the addition of power plate
and open dump + 108 Thrasher

2.062 60'
5.539 330'
8.362 1/8th
xx.xx mph (left lane trippers not working)
12.79 1/4
113.53 mph

I was pretty shocked, manually shifting from 2nd to 3rd picked up
close to 2 mph, w TCC locked. Thanks for passing this on Mike
Made passes on street radials Yoko's P306, and 21#'s boost. Other runs were 12.88 @ 113.52 , 12.88 @ 111.33 , other two runs 12.9x @ 111. 60' ranged from best of 2.06 to 2.2. Broke out on brackets first round, oh well, but still had a great day.

Frank,
Excellent MPH.Is that with a stock turbo? What were outside temps?

Had you had some sticky tires..high 11's low 12's would have been yours.

Julio,

Thanks. Yep, stock turbo is still on there. It was a nice slightly breezy low-mid 70's day.

How much boost were you blowing when you crossed the finish line. And were you using an aftermarket guage to monitor boost.Or was the factory one pegged

I've been up to 112.50 ...but stuck at 110 and exactly 20lbs when it crosses the line.Thats why I ask to see if our cars differ much.I do know that wheel spin at the line will let you trap out a little higher in some instances..but just wondering.

Thanks for the reply

Julio,

Have a 30 psi VDO for a boost gage, along w/ the factory. Was going through the traps w/ 21-22#'s. The car liked it there, worst KR 0.7 While dialing it up from 18#'s on first pass, ran 20#'s on 2nd pass, I overshot on my third pass, and went to 24#'s, car did not like it there, .785 mv. but 18* of KR, ooops. car slowed down. ( Usually one turn is not 4 #'s ) Cranked it back down to 21 #'s and the last five passes, traps were all 111+
