atS TOO HOT

while driving around for say 15-20 min and then idling the car in park or at a stop light the atS says TOO HOT on the scan master. THen car then shuts off on its own. everything else seems to be within normal limits, once I start driving again everything is good as the atS numbers go down. I am assuming this in bc the car is moving and the air is cooler. But it is not even that hot out??? I could see if the outside air temp is really really hot, but it isn't really.
Any one else have this problem??
THanks, Jarred.

When underhood temps hit over 140 I believe.. the scanmaster flashes HOT.

But this shouldnt affect anything. If it shuts off.. then talk with your chip maker.

ya I think I will talk to the chip maker. When the car shuts off I just turn it back on if I have to keep driving and car seems to run fine. I was just wondering what was going on here. Thanks, Jarred.
