Main fuel line size ?
Anybody know what size tubbing the main fuel line is (the hard line from the pump)...I'm guessing it's 3/8" but when measured it comes up a little shy ? The reason I ask is because I need to replace a section and the 3/8 compression fitting I used is not sealing up...the ferrule seemed to be a little loose. Hope it's not a metric line

I think it's 5/16". One thing to note on our cars is that flare and even double flare fittings won't seal our gasoline. That is why GM went to the Saginaw fittings that we have. I tried to add a 2nd fuel line made from brake line and it leaked.
