Frame pad mounts

Wonder why they mounted the frame mount with the added latch to the passenger side of these cars, I would think engine TQ would pull up on the drivers side no?

Wondered the same thing when I reinstalled mine after having had them powder coated along with the engine cross member ... I double checked to see if they actually installed that way or not and they also have L and R stamped in them so guess that is the case for whatever reason.
