over boosting

Iv got a question.. seems like my cars building to much boost, when it take off it will hit 20lbs then i get knock, if the car does shift in to 2nd the boost drops to 15lbs or so.. iv got a boost control, and when i turn the boost down enought for it not to knock say 16 or 17lbs when the car shifts from first to 2nd it drops to about 12 or so.. Anyone have any idea? its driving me crazy

Hi,
Do you have a scanner? Maybe it's knock retard. Are you running a performance chip? Finally,verify your gauge's accuracy with another, low pressure, gauge.Good luck!
